3doo LAUNCHES 3D PLAYER APP ON SAMSUNG SMART 3D TELEVISIONS WORLDWIDE

Poised to Expand Potential Global 3doo User Base to 65 Million

NEW YORK, NY (June 4, 2013) – 3doo Inc., the world’s only global 3D media and entertainment market place, today announced that Samsung, the world’s largest television manufacturer, has released 3doo’s 3D Player App for free download and easy installation on Samsung’s line of Smart TVs and many Blu Ray Players, expanding the potential 3doo user base to 65 million 3D television households in more than 150 countries by Q4 2013.

“The launch of the 3doo Player App on Samsung TVs brings the 3doo media platform to 60% of all Smart TVs worldwide, further consolidating our dominant position as the only open marketplace for all varieties of 3D content,” said Ingo Nadler, President of 3doo, Inc. “Our global user base has been expanding by thousands of new users daily on LG and Panasonic TVs, a growth trend we project will accelerate given Samsung’s position as the world’s leading TV manufacturer.”

“Launching the 3doo Player App on the Samsung App Store means that electronics retailers can market and sell their line-up of branded 3D Smart TVs by demonstrating 3doo’s exciting and free-to-view 3D content at the point of sale,” said Oliver Rapp, Executive Vice President. “Consumers buying 3D TV sets will now have a growing library of 3D content quickly and easily at their fingertips.”

“3doo is the first – and still the only – global 3D media marketplace, connecting thousands of 3D content producers and advertisers with millions of eager consumers worldwide through their 3D TVs,” said Michael Stougiannos, Executive Vice President. “3doo has designed and created a dazzling platform of free 3D videos, soon to include paid on-demand 3D content and 3D Live events, to efficiently monetize and fully revolutionize the digital distribution of spectacular 3D content on a global scale.”

3doo offers producers and distributors of 3D content the ability to distribute their 3D content from a single platform directly to global or local audiences with Samsung, LG and Panasonic 3D TVs, reaching consumers with over 60% of all 3D TV units worldwide. This also creates a new sector for geo-targeted advertising with highly effective 3D video and display advertising. Producers and distributors interested in marketing and subsequently monetizing their 3D content to millions of Samsung, LG and Panasonic 3D TV viewers around the globe can sign up immediately – at no charge – at https://www.3doo.com/web/Sign-Up/Contentprovider.aspx.”

3doo Inc., a privately held U.S. corporation with offices in New York and Cologne, Germany, is currently preparing for a material round of growth financing. 3doo is also getting ready to release apps for other leading global television and mobile device manufacturers, in order to deliver premium 3D content from major and personal content providers to a vastly expanded potential user base of more than 350 million 3D enabled TVs and mobile devices worldwide by 2015, based on recent DisplaySearch data.

  1. I purchased my HD-3D Samsung 51 ” plasma TV almost 2 years ago, and I’m really pissed off about trying to get your 3DOO , Player. I need to sign in on my TV. So I need to create an account. I have one with Samsung but the web site has no place to register or create an account. Do I use my Samsung account e-mail and password or what? Will you no let me have the player since I’m not in business which would produce more revenue for you guys, by buying more 3D stuff and advertising ? If this is correct, it’s really a rip-off, cause I paid extra to have the capability of 3D and now can’t download the player. Such a disappointment. I do have Comcast xfinity if that means anything. I’m sorry I bought this Smart TV, can’t take advantage of all the offers, I either can’t get them because of the fees, or else I just can’t get them, like this player to watch 3d movies and what ever. My negative response about this won’t make a bit of difference in your sales and a decrease in sales of your wonderful products, but I just had to say something, it has, and is causing me, at 83, a widow, lots and lots of grief and anxiety and a lot of wasted time on the computer trying to find 3d movies. Kudos to y’all. From a Very Senior Citizen, June Muraco

    1. I understand your frustration. The TV manufacturers have made it very difficult to access the very apps that they are trying to promote on their own TVs. I understand your frustration. There is no easy answer but perhaps try to reach out to 3doo for assistance.
