Active Shutter 3D Soon to be Universal

 

Ever since 3D TVs are made available, the battle between Passive and Active TVs is very much alive and ongoing. Which is a better set for you? Which would better enriched your 3D experience? Passive has pretty much won the hearts of many consumers simply because of their glasses. They are of lighter weight, arguably better designed, much cheaper, and work across brands as well as RealD theaters. XpanD, together with Panasonic, Sony, and Samsung, have announced “Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative,” collaborating on a new standard for 3D active glasses, utilizing radio frequency and “multiple types of infrared system protocols”. The universal active glasses are expected to be available before the end of this year and will cost as little as $20 a pair. What do you say 3D fans?
