Breakthrough 3D Documentary World Premiere

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Al Caudullo is THE 3D Guy (3DGuy.tv) and his 3D documentaries are groundbreaking and breathtaking visual extravaganzas that are redefining the documentary genre.

Lampang, Thailand – March 29, 2012 – Caudullo is applying his thirty years of photography experience and expertise with veteran Thai director and cinematographer, Dorn Ratanathatsanee on a 3D documentary with a Panasonic camera system featuring the personal quest of the ‘Thai Horse Savior’, eminent veterinarian Dr. Siraya Chunekamrai and relating the story of her passionate mission to save the noble yet sadly neglected Thai Pony from extinction.

Cross breeding and improper care have drastically reduced their numbers. During the course of treating these horses, Dr. Siraya discovered striking similarities (unique markings and stature) between the Thai Pony and Mongolian wild horses (also referred to as Przewalski’s Horse) the last of the legitimate wild horses surviving in the world today.

Thoroughly intrigued, Dr. Siraya began her scientific quest to determine the connection between these seemingly unrelated breeds. She took hair and blood samples which were tested at the University of California, Davis revealing that Thai Ponies are a natural horse breed, actually related to the Mongolian wild horse. This remarkable horse breed has the ability to withstand deadly diseases that has insured their survival. They are one of the only breeds that is not considered ‘man-made’, as almost all other breeds of horses have been bred by man to achieve certain characteristics.

Dr Siraya’s steadfast determination to save the Thai Pony was manifested in the Lampang Pony Welfare Foundation she founded in 2008 to improve the health and welfare of Thai Ponies.

Caudullo and Ratanathatsanee are documenting Dr. Siraya’s quest to save the Thai Pony ‘on location’ in Thailand, Mongolia, and California. Armed with 3D cameras, they are equally determined to capture the majesty and mystery of these magnificent animals.

The Thai language version of the film will premiere on March 29, 2012 to a select group of VIPs and Press at Baan Sao Nak, a heritage teakwood mansion in Lampang city with guests and VIPs of the province attending.

LPWF was founded to improve the health and welfare of Thailand’s native ponies with an important research project that proved Thai ponies are a natural breed with ancient genetic codes matching those of the Mongolian horse. These findings were not only of scientific importance but also alludes to the historical and centuries old migration patterns of humankind in Asia. To enable preservation of the breed to occur LPWF has initiated the Thai Heritage-World Heritage Pony Breeding and Conservation Program” supported by 4 major corporate sponsors namely: PTTEP, Perfect Companion Group, B Grimm Group and Nonthaburi Equestrian and Sports Club Co.,Ltd.
