Cirque Du Soleil In 3D, Helmed By Cameron


Andrew Adamson and James Cameron are collaberating on a 3D family film celebrating the magic of Cirque du Soleil. The film is described as ‘a hybrid combining narrative storytelling with Cirque performances that are being captured in 3D from different themed Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas.’ Cameron will act as a producer for the film, and he will be joined by Reel FX Entertainment’s Cary Granat and Ed Jones, Cirque du Soleil, and Aron Warner. Cameron and Adamson have worked together capturing 3D Cirque du Soleil footage in the past.The Cirque du Soleil 3D film will follow the traditional movie formulas, one main character and an intriguing plot, with the addition of 3D Cirque du Soleil scenes from various Las Vegas productions playing in the background. Adamson and Cameron have reportedly been making the rounds filming the popular production. According to Deadline, James Cameron’s Cirque du Soleil 3D “is about one-third completed,” with “major distributors already shown footage.” “The currently untitled film is looking at a potential franchise and many studios are already interested.” Adamson, who developed the storyline behind the upcoming family feature, is currently working on the movie narrative in New Zealand. Aside from the 3D genius’ attachment to Cirque du Soleil, James Cameron is also busy with two more Avatar movies on the way, as well as a remake of Fantastic Voyage and At The Mountains of Madness.
