Eurovision’s Young Dancers Push Combined 4K/3D Camera Technology

Eurovision is a well established  broadcast network, carrying major events such as the Olympics and the World Cup for the members of the Union, the Vienna New Year Concert, as well as sharing news footage on the Eurovision News Exchange.

But as established as it is, the use of it as a technological test bed continues.

During the Young Dancers Event at Poland last June 14, 2013, KUK Filmproduktion spent three days recording the warm-ups and the rehearsals of the ten dancers with a special 3D rig fitted with 4K Sony F65 cameras.

The EBU’s Media and Technology & Innovation Department thought that the event is the most suitable project to test the 4K 3D technology with the contest’s dynamic movements perfect in 3D and the bright and vivid stage set up fantastic in 4K.

Updates on the test up here on 3DGuy.tv as soon as we hear about it!
