In January, Maxon merged with Red Giant. While we continue to build a long-term roadmap for integrating our products and creating new ones, we didn’t want to wait to bring you the first product of that union.
We are excited to announce an update for Red Giant Complete, featuring Cinema 4D file import in Trapcode Suite.
UPDATE DETAILS
In this update to Red Giant Complete, Trapcode Suite now includes more 3D geometry input options, thanks to integration with Cineware .c4d files. In addition, Mir can now read OBJ sequences. Here is a breakdown of the new features in each Trapcode tool:
TRAPCODE PARTICULAR
Cinema 4D File Import: Use .c4d file 3D geometry as emitters. Supported geometry properties: animation & transformations (rotation, position/translation & scaling).
TRAPCODE FORM
Cinema 4D File Import: Use .c4d file 3D geometry as particle objects. Supported geometry properties: animation, normals, & transformations (rotation, position/translation & scaling).
TRAPCODE MIR
Cinema 4D File Import: Use .c4d file 3D geometry as Mir 3D objects. Supported geometry properties: animation, normals, texture coordinates & transformations (rotation, position/translation & scaling).
OBJ Sequences: Bring animated OBJ sequences into After Effects for use in your motion graphics. 3D Models react to 3D lights and cameras, and can be deformed and repeated like any other Mir surface.
What is 360 VR Video?
360 video is a video that is recorded in all directions at the same time with multiple cameras. The videos are stitched together either internally in the camera or externally using special software.
It then forms one spherical video that is controlled by the viewer, enabling them to look up, down, right or left at their discretion.
