Melbourne, Australia – April 8th 2013: Atomos, creator of the award-winning field recorders Ninja-2 and Samurai, and the acclaimed Connect converters, announces the opening of a new US office at NAB 2013, (8-11 April, Las Vegas Convention Center, booth number C8218).

“Our phenomenal growth over the past year means we can make this kind of investment to better support our customers in the Americas,” said Jeromy Young, CEO and Founder of Atomos. “The new office will provide technical support for the region, as well as some product development”.

Atomos joins the expanding number of technology companies in Portland’s Silicon Forest, an area established in the 1940s by innovative companies such as Tektronix and ESI, and more recently by Intel, as the perfect location for engineering and technical expertise in the US.

Atomos has now shipped a staggering 10,000 field recorders worldwide. At NAB 2013 their booth features over 25 different camera models, including 10 DSLRs capable of clean HDMI output. An Atomos Ninja-2 or Samurai is now a must-have item in any filmmaker’s kit bag.
