This past week has been huge. One of the biggest news weeks we’ve had, actually. We launched the new Made for Solo thermal gimbal for FLIR cameras, announced an exciting investment from Autodesk and saw the FAA release the long-anticipated “Part 107” regulations for commercial drone operation. Since even before Solo launched, our customers and prospective commercial users have asked when they could expect IR sensors to be integrated into 3DR drones. Today’s the day: We’re excited to announce the launch of 3-axis stabilized Made for Solo gimbals from OEM Cameras, which are available for preorder on the OEM Camera site.

Radiometric drone camera for accurate airborne temperature measurements

The new Vue Pro R from FLIR gives both drone operators and certified thermographers the power to gather accurate, non-contact temperature measurements from an aerial perspective. Every still image the Vue Pro R saves contains accurate, calibrated temperature data embedded in every pixel, adding even more value to your sUAS operations and services than ever.

Keeping the same industry-leading thermal imaging quality, interfaces, and capability as the best-selling Vue Pro, the Vue Pro R adds fully radiometric data-gathering to sUAS applications as diverse as building and roof inspections, power grid inspections, infrastructure analysis, precision agriculture, and public safety.

The Vue Pro R is more than a thermal imager – it captures accurate, non-contact temperature measurements from an aerial perspective and saves images with calibrated temperature data embedded in every pixel.

  1. My name is David Jones I’m owner an operator of an Aerial UAV Photography company called
Eagle Eye / Sky Cam. I’m desiring to venture into a Thermal IR field meeting the needs of our clients.
Saying all of this I’m desiring to know more about the Cameras and Gimbals you’re offering bottom line pricing, and applications.
