RealD Wins South East Asia Premiere Of ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

Global 3D and visual technology company RealD Inc. announced it has been selected as the 3D technology provider for the South East Asia premiere of “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. RealD will provide 3D projection technology and movie-themed RealD 3D glasses for the special advance screening on May 14, 2014, at Shaw Theaters LIDO.

The advance screening will take place in 10 auditoriums simultaneously at Shaw Theaters LIDO. RealD 3D cinema systems, the world’s most widely used 3D cinema technology, have been installed at the LIDO location.

RealD also announced it will provide 1,800 pairs of limited edition “X-Men: Days of Future Past” themed collectible RealD 3D glasses for the guests at the premiere event.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is not only a fantastic movie adaptation of the classic Marvel series, featuring a star-studded cast, but also showcases the creativity in stereography and high quality 3D production. Through RealD’s industry brightest 3D projection technology, we are proud to contribute to the film’s presentation with a realistic and immersive viewing experience. With the addition of the movie themed collectible RealD 3D glasses, we hope the visuals will leave an indelible memory for the audience,” said Edman Chan, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific of RealD.

To ensure the quality of presentation, Chan added that the film premiere will be presented at a 6FL light level in all 10 auditoriums. This high brightness level helps deliver a premium image quality and added depth.
