RED is proud to announce the second annual SHOT ON RED Film Festival, a showcase of short and feature-length independent projects shot on RED cameras. RED and industry leaders will focus on selecting projects that best emphasize visual storytelling.
Held on December 4th – 5th in Hollywood, CA, this event is intended to bring together some of the brightest visionaries from all over the world, recognizing both the filmmakers and their work.
RED is committed to fostering the efforts of the independent community and invites filmmakers across the globe to participate in this incredible event.
SELECTED FILMS Finalists will be notified on November 8th and will have the opportunity to see their films projected in 4K.

CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE
For over half a decade, RED has manufactured 4K and 5K cameras that have been used by emerging visual storytellers to capture some of the most groundbreaking independent cinema. The SHOT ON RED Film Festival is a great opportunity to recognize independent artists and provide them a venue for high-resolution exhibition. Whether you’re a filmmaker or an audience member, this event brings together all of the exciting elements of a truly cinematic experience.
SUBMISSIONS
Please email your SHOT ON RED Film Festival submission form to shotonredfestival@red.com. Provide a digital press kit (detailed in the form) along with your email submission form. Submissions must be in 4K on a USB 3.0 hard drive or flash drive. No drives will be returned but will be recycled through our education programs and Camp RED.
4K (4096×2160) @ 24fps in either 16 bit TIFFs or 10bit DPX w/ audio WAV file included Stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 mixed into single file at 24fps as well (frame length should match between image sequence and audio file) – please note graded color space and gamma (ie. REC709/Gamma 2.2 or P3/Gamma 2.6)
