Star Trek 2 and Mission Impossible 4 Going 3D

J.J. Abrams of Star Trek on a recent press con announced things about Star Trek 2 and Mission: Impossible 4 and Fringe.

There were the requisite Star Trek 2 questions, and he also talks a bit about Mission: Impossible 4 and Fringe. Abrams was unsurprisingly coy about details on his Star Trek sequel. There wasn’t anything concrete. Abrams will continue to aim at a storyline that has more mass appeal. The latter certainly worked out well for him the first time around.

Abrams mentioned that he’s looking at doing the film in 3D technology. He was really stunned by James Cameron’s Avatar. The idea was apparently brought up for the first Trek film, but he was terrified at dealing with something so new on his second feature film.  Abrams did confirm that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Leonard Nimoy in Fringe.

Mission: Impossible would possibly go 3D
