With the catchphrase of Tokyo We Are VR, the 20th annual conference for virtual reality professionals kicked off in grand style in Tokyo Japan. With Blend Media and Facebook as Partners, and a wide range of sponsors including, Adobe, Google, Veer, Kolor GoPro, 360DO/360Today, Garden Gnome Software, Kandao, Entaniya, Nodal Ninja, Insta360, GTune Mouse, Imeve, InVR, Yoshimi Camera, So When?, Wemersive, Theia Technologies, UtoVR, Vive, Pick Interactive, Go Thru, Ask Corporation, and Pisotech.
But even with all the amazing speakers, panels and workshops, the real treasure was in meeting our fellow Immersive creators, many of whom we had only met and became friends on social media.

A special word of thanks to the IVRPA president, Keith Martin for inviting me to do a 360 Workshop. It was disappointing that Keith wasn’t able to join us due to his chemotherapy treatments. I think that I speak for all of us in wishing for Keith a fast and full recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Keith.
