Ultra-thin 3D, LED Monitors From JVC

JVC brings in their 46-inch 3D LCD HDTV, the GD-463D10, along with LT-32WX50,  a 32-inch LED-backlit HDTV. Both monitors are ultra-thin, with the former just 1.5 inches (39mm) thick, while the latter is 0.25 inches (6.4mm) thick. The GD-463D10 is technically a monitor as it lacks a tuner, but can be used to reproduce 3D images thanks to the Xpol polarizing filter on the screen itself paired with the included battery-free eyeglasses.

The set has an incorporated 3D decoder and a wide viewing angle that allows off-axis 3D viewing. Industry-standard line-by-line and side-by-side 3D video formats are supported by the HDTV. Two pairs of polarizing glasses are included with the set. The TV has three HDMI inputs and support for 1080/24p, 50p, 60p, 50i and 60i signals. The set has a 2,000:1 static contrast ratio, a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a pair of 10W speakers.

The LT-32WX50 has no 3D playback capabilities and also lacks a tuner, but is ultra-thin, at a quarter of an inch at its slimmest, and weighs just 12.5lbs. It achieves these numbers thanks to JVC’s edge-lit LED system. Its contrast ratio is 4,000:1 and users can choose from one of six picture settings, including home, retail, movie, monitor, SLR photo mode and game. There are two HDMI ports, a VGA port, and an Ethernet port for over-the-network control.
