Campus MovieFest Discovers 3D Filmmakers of the Future

Campus MovieFest (CMF) is one of the world’s largest annual student film and music festivals which began 12 years ago. CMF is the only event of its kind to provide Apple laptops, Panasonic HD camcorders, and training all for free to students around the globe. Students at participating colleges and universities have one week to create their own short movies, with each school hosting red carpet finales to showcase its top movies. The best of the best moved on to compete against hundreds of other top shorts at Campus MovieFest in Hollywood.

CMF has partnered with Panasonic, International 3D Society, Lenovo, and Grass Valley the makers of Edius top of the line 3D editing software, to create the world’s first 3D film festival. Young filmmakers across the country are receiving the opportunity to tell their stories in 3D, giving them the chance to experiment with revolutionary technology, and have the chance to earn cash scholarships.

A panel of professionals in the 3D industry will judge each submissions and winners will be announced and honored at CMF Hollywood’s red carpet awards ceremony where $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. What’s more? Aside from the cash prize,  winners get a copy of 3DGuy’s trustee —- Edius Por 6.5.
