Off the Plate: Miracle on the Design District

A New Tradition Develops as The Little Dreams Foundation Brings Christmas Miracles to Miami’s Design District

(Miami, FL) – On December 12th, 2013, the proud founders of the  Little Dreams Foundation, Phil Collins and Orianne Collins Mejjati, introduced the foundation’s first ever fundraising event in Miami Beach, “Miracle on the Design District.” This exclusive charitable endeavor focuses on making the ambitious dreams of young disadvantaged children a reality through generous funds and donations. As the Miracle of Christmas dawns on Miami’s Design District, members of the press, sponsors, and the foundation as well as Miami’s finest restaurants, art galleries, shoppers and retailers will come together to support this gracious cause. Hosted at the Fendi Casa, the event will be held from 7pm to 10pm.

Six well decorated Christmas trees will compete in an auction in light of ‘little dreams”: the funds of which will go towards programs benefiting young aspiring artists, dancers, and athletes. Three handpicked judges will determine the winner of the Best Holiday Tree 2013 Award designed by Brazilian American neo-pop artist Romero Britto.

A silent gift auction organized by the foundation will help achieve the children’s goals regarding training and education, as well as providing gifts for those in need. Participation involves donations, whether it be for the silent auction, offering gifts, or services– the help is always welcome.

When it comes to the most talented and driven individuals, this foundation funds tremendous artistic and athletic ability. Since the Little Dreams Foundation first started in the year 2000, the goal was set in motion, to realize the dreams of children with talent in Art, Music or Sports. The children could then receive the required attention needed to become successful and professional. Those selected are granted customized training by their personal Godparent, as well as sponsors and advisors to enhance their performance to their greatest potential. Supporting hundreds of disabled and not disabled children from around the world, the Little Dreams Foundation continues making dreams come true.
