3D Printer Changed a Life

American teenager Mason Wilde - Matthew Shields 3D printed hand

American teenager Mason Wilde changed the life of his 9-year-old neighbor Matthew Shields when he gave him a functioning prosthetic hand. Made using the 3D printer in the local public library and a customized version of a blueprint downloaded from the internet, the prosthetic will mean that Matthew, who was born without fingers on his right hand, can handle objects more easily.

Isn’t it awesome?!
