Google’s Project Tango will develop a tablet for $1,024 that will have a variety of sensors to transform its environment into a 3D rendering.
Project Tango released the Project Tango Tablet Developers kit, which is aimed at developing 3D applications, computer vision and advanced sensing tools. The kit, according to Google, will entice developers to create something thats “more than a touch screen app” and explore new mobile experience, specifically 3D imaging.
“These development kits are designed for professional developers interested in exploring the future of mobile 3D sensing,” Google writes.
The tablet will be sold by Google late June as a development kit — it could be launched at Google I/O — and will cost $1,024.
