3DGuy, Al Caudullo, already had a chance for some hands-on time with the Acer Aspire 5738DG at the 3D Entertainment Summit held in Los Angeles, California last September 2009.
Acer launched new Windows 7 hardware this week. Acer announced amongst other hardware the Acer Aspire 5738PG. Acer 5738DG is actually a 3D notebook.
Acer’s new 3D technology called Acer 3D CineReal technology comprised of special coated displays, polarized glasses and TriDef 3D Experience software. Acer Aspire 5738DG notebook is the first Acer computer to use this technology. The notebook features built-in software which can convert regular 2D movies to 3D, and will also directly support 3D movies.
UK’s PC Pro commented, “It works well. I watched a number of nice-looking demos where futuristic planes flew through futuristic landscapes…”
