LG has enabled the 3doo platform on Smart TVs extending its potential reach to 10 million consumers in 87 markets.
The 3doo platform offers 3D content and a market place infrastructure for 3D content owners who wish to upload, distribute and sell across multiple devices.
Already installed on millions of Panasonic’s 2012 and 2013 VIERA 3D TVs, LG have now approved 3doo’s Player App for download and installation on LG’s line of Smart TVs in 87 countries and territories.
“This significant milestone will expand 3doo’s digital 3-D platform reach to millions of LG TV viewers in 87 countries, including major markets such as the U.S., Canada, India and the United Kingdom – and for the first time in the large 3-D markets of China, South Korea and Japan,” stated Michael Stougiannos, Chief Executive Officer of 3doo, Inc. “3doo is more strongly committed than ever to building its position as a global leader in 3-D media and entertainment, and to disrupting the 3-D film distribution industry worldwide.”
