Secrets Behind the Scenes of The Hobbit

Peter Jackson Has been chronicling his adventures behind the scenes with a series of production blogs. These blogs have gone into some detail about the various stages of production. You sentence now only weeks away from the debut of the movie Jackson reveals secrets behind the post production process.

Now with only weeks ago before the movie is released Jackson reveals with a sly smile and nervous chuckle that the film is scheduled to be completed only two days before the premiere.

 

The video gives us insight into the process of movie creation. It shows the function of Previz for creating 3-D animated storyboards that help in the creation and editing process of the movie. In most movies Previz is done before the shoot but with the hectic schedule and tight timeframe Previz shots were used to help finish some of the shots and CGI creation.

 

The Mo-Cap or motion capture scenes are a lot of fun to watch and it’s amazing to see how a small tightly knit group are working nonstop to get this film to the public in time for the premiere.
