Valeo will be showcasing innovations for a car of the future that will not only be smarter, safer and more energy efficient, but will also save all of us time every day. The company will demonstrate and display Intelligent Lighting Technology and Intuitive Driving
Solutions for Improved Safety at this year’s CES. This includes:
Valeo’s Automated Valet Parking
Solution –Allows drivers to leave a car at the entrance of an outside
or underground parking lot and let the car find a space and park by itself,
by activating the remote automated parking system on their Smartphones
Valeo’s Gaze Detection System- A driving assistance system using eye movement to activate steering wheel
and dashboard controls when the driver looks at them. The system
can monitor the driver’s attentiveness, eye and eyelid movements, detect
fatigue and intervene to alert the driver or automatically take control
of the car, if necessary, in the event of an emergency.
LED Lighting System Advancements
– LED lighting systems make it possible to more sharply differentiate
headlight styling and create a specific visual signature for a particular
brand or model. In addition, the lower electrical consumption of
LED systems improves a vehicle’s overall energy performance. LED
lighting is twice as efficient as xenon and five times as efficient as
halogen. Advancements in LED lighting design and technology is on
display in Valeo’s outdoor exhibit (Booth CP10) located in the Central
Plaza.
