4K GY-LS300 offers Super 35 Sensor for under $4500!
Developed by JVCs satellite sensor design firm JVCKENWOOD AltaSens, the Super 35mm sensor is actually a bit larger, and offers a resolution of 13.6 megapixels. Recording is done at 24, 25 and 30 fps, and will also support not only dual recording, but also recording in two different formats, which are featured in JVC’s GY-HM650 and GY-HM850 shoulder-mount ENG cameras. Most likely though, the LS300 won’t be able to do 4K in both formats, but likely be able to record in UHD and HD simultaneously.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the features of the GY-LS300:
- Single sensor, S35-picture window, CMOS
- MFT-Mount
- Ultra HD, HD (4: 2: 2), SD, proxy
- MOV and AVCHD recording
