A request for the new Star Trek in 3D

With buzz beggining about the next “new” Star Trek in talks, we have a little note for JJ Abrams…

With the news that J.J. Abrams is officially at the helm of the next installment in his “Star Trek” reboot and prayers are 3D will be in the plans. And might we just say:

Please make star trek 2 go where no trek movie has gone before. Warp factor 3D, Mr.Sulu! Stop being afraid and embrace the future, after all you are dealing with a TV/film franchise that has taken so many bold chances, take the 3D plunge. Only make sure that you do it right, no crappy 2D to 3D conversion or we’ll have Scotty beam you into a cineplex playing Alice in Wonderland 2 1/2D, nonstop!!!
We are beyond excited at the prospects of the next 3D film of the century to be Star Trek… I mean, what other series has single handedly given way to more than half of the electronics we own today?  So what better than to see Star Trek than in the newest forward thinking electronic entertainment style.

But what does this movie really need?  Perhaps, the greatest threat Kirk has ever faced, Khan.  No Star Trek movie would be complete without the best vilain ever in it.  And with the rumor mill spreading the word that this may come to fruition, team J.J. has long been side-stepping answering this one.

But wait… Don’t we need the originator of smart alleck inner-galaxy comments to return even more prominently? “Damnit Jim, I’m A Co-Star, Not An Extra!”  Bones had little to no involvement in the plot aside from getting Kirk onto the Enterprise by crudely manipulating medical law to his advantage, and making for one of the funniest and most memorable scenes of the movie.  NOw it’s time for him to come on board the Enterprise and entertain us all.

Those are my few requests for this possible 3D flick and I only pray that it is as good as the last (Okay even better!!!)  As said sohistorically before… Make it so.
