Avatar 3D Blu-ray Now Available to the General Public

Good news to those who have been long waiting! After two years of being available only to consumers purchasing select Panasonic 3D TVs and Blu-ray Disc Players, the 3D version of James Cameron’s Avatar is finally be available to the general public, beginning Tuesday, October 16th, 2012.

For those that already own the no-frills single disc only edition that has been associated with the purchase of Panasonic products up to this point, the general release is an expanded two-disc Blu-ray 3D Collector’s Edition (both the 2D and 3D theatrical versions of the film will be accessible on the Blu-ray disc and, of course, the included DVD is 2D only) with newly created packaging.
