Trails of a Legend: The Ponies of Lampang, takes us on a scientific adventure spanning across the globe. Al Caudullo and his 3D film crew chronicled the search for the scientific origin of these unique Thai ponies believed to be related to the Mongolian wild horses. Dr. Siriya Chunekamrai leads an expedition to trace and verify this possible ancient breed of horse. The search starts in the hills of Northern Thailand to the mountains of Mongolia and even into the scorching, blowing sands of the Gobi desert and then to the veterinary genetics lab at University of California Davis.
