The Mitsubishi Diamond 3D Projector is being unveiled at next week’s CES show. With a reflective LCD light engine, it has a maximum 100″ picture – in 3D. Capable of 1080p, the projector is very quiet in operation and claims 120,000:1 contrast.
As with all projectors, the consumables are key and the bulb should be good for some 4,000 hours life while the lamp comes with a one-year guarantee. With two HDMI 1.4 inputs supporting 2D and 3D and weighing around 33lbs. We expect it will cost somewhere over the $5,000 mark. None of the preview material suggests what type of glasses will be needed to view the projected image. 3D Guy Al Caudullo will be at CES 2011 in Las Vegas, watch 3dguy.tv for ongoing updates and a 3D podcast covering the latest 3D developments.
