Cinec 4.0 Goes Big-All The Way to 8K

8k_logo

Cinec has a history of breaking new ground. They were the first to let PC users convert to ProRes and they didn’t stop there. They made things even easier with “Plin”, an easy to use ProRes plug in for Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Android users love them for the first ever H.265 player. I tested and love the standalone and immensely powerful “Denoiser” application for removing video noise from footage. of course there is the FLEC, the X-Y adjustable multi baseplate for SLR and camcorders.

Now they have reached a new zenith with the release of Cinec 4.0. Not satisfied with just transcoding to ProRes 4K or just converting to H.265, no they want us to be ready for phase two of UHD, by taking us all the way to 8K H.265. To be exact Cinec 4.0 supports encoding and now scaling videos from / to almost any resolution; SD, 720, 1080, 2K, 4K,  6K, and 8K (TV and DCI).

Knowing the crew over there, this release should blow all the others off the map. The ability to upscale to 4K, 6K and even 8K makes Cinec 4.0, the Holy Grail of Conversion.

I am anxiously awaiting my serial number so that I can give you all first hand analysis of the software. In the meantime, you can familiarize yourselves with the features in the press release below.
