Kúla Deeper is a new product that makes it possible to take 3D pictures and videos with a regular camera. It was developed by the startup company Kúla Inventions Ltd. and will be released and available worldwide later this year.

Kúla Deeper is attached to a camera lens for stereoscopic photography and filming. It can be used with an adapter to fit different sizes of lenses of large cameras such as DSLR cameras. The resulting side-by-side image can be experienced in 3D directly on the camera display using a stereo viewer.

Other 3D formats are available through the softwareKúlacodewhich automatically processes the images and videos and converts them to any 3D format, including MPO for 3D televisions. “This is the first product worldwide that provides a complete solution for 3D photography with normal DSLR cameras” says Íris Ólafsdóttir, the founder of Kúla.

Kúla is financing the first production through the crowdfunding siteKarolinaFund.com which is a crowdfunding community for the creative industries. Karolina Fund brings ideas to life through the help of the crowd, a social platform where creators can obtain funding for their projects, while others can invest, create, interact or offer their services and expertise. Their success rate is over 60%, and they have funded a wide range of projects.

Kúla Deeper is a beautifully designed, light and user-friendly device that makes it easy to switch between normal and 3D photography. The intention with this device is to enable any SLR camera owner to experiment with 3D photography in a fun and exciting way without having to buy a costly 3D camera.
