EKTA’s 3D LED TV makes the Guinness Book of World Records

Measuring more than seven metres diagonally, EKTA’s 3D LED TV has earned a world record for being the largest of its kind, ratified by the Guinness Book of Records in Gothenburg, Sweden. The record states a diagonal of 7.11m.

 

The giant 3D LED TV was installed in the Trädgår’n VIP club hall in Gothenburg, where 400 people watcheda 3D broadcast of the final match in the UEFA Champions League from London’s Wembley stadium. Thanks to the record size of the screen and EKTA’s 3D technology, the audience could feel that they were almost in the stadium itself.

 

The live 3D broadcast was provided by Swedish company, Viasat and the installation was carried out by VIDEOFORCE, EKTA’s rental partner in Sweden.

 

Hans Skarplöth,Viasat General Manager, said: “It was not easy to use an LED 3D screen but the result exceeded all our expectations. We had a unique experience and gained global recognition!”

 

Demand for EKTA 3D LED screens has increased significantly within the entertainment industry, gaining credibility from clubs and discos, shows, concerts, fan zones and bars, museums and amusement parks. Igor Pastukh, EKTA General Manager, commented that facilities within several European cities have been built with plans to use big 3D EKTA screens.
