FINISHING ON A MASSIVE SCALE
Join digital colorist Maxine Gervais for an exclusive presentation on the color grading and finishing of Pacific Rim, the new sci-fi epic from acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.
This one-time event will feature a screening of scenes from the movie and a demonstration of the work that went into meeting the unique creative and technical challenges posed by the film.

Blurring the line between color grading and VFX, Maxine will reveal how she and her team at Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging helped to bring Guillermo del Toro and cinematographer Guillermo Navarro’s vision to the screen in both 2D and 3D—using the Baselight finishing system with RED EPIC 5K cinematography and CG effects. This will be followed by a technical discussion with Ted Schilowitz, co-founder of RED.
