Movies, television, and games have embraced 3D technology in a whole new way. There are high profile feature length films being released for the 3D audience. 3 dimensional gameplay is becoming standard with most home gaming consoles. Once relegated to niche theaters and gimmicky marketing tools, 3D has made a successful transition into the mainstream, and it doesn’t seem to be fading away any time soon. Television and computer manufacturers have gotten into the 3D game by releasing hardware that works with 3D technology at home. It’s also important to have some good quality wireless headphones that every man will love to go along with your 3D gear! The only challenge is to find 3D content to playback on the new monitors.
Retail 3D Movies
If you want to find a 3D movie that you can take home and watch immediately, the best place for you to begin your search is at a local electronics store. Their selection may be more limited than you would like, but you will probably find a nice Blu-Ray 3D movie that you can take home and use right away. If the content of the movie is as important to you as the 3D technology, you may have more luck shopping at an online retail movie outlet.
Retail 3D Games
3D games are much easier to find than 3D movies. Most games that have been made for the PS3, Xbox, and Wii are made using a 3D format. You can find many of the newest games at local electronics stores, and also at many retail locations. There are also game stores that trade older 3D games or give you a discount on used games. A quick search through clearance bins at a mall game store may produce some 3D gaming gold that you can take home and start to play immediately. Most of the new gaming systems also connect directly to the Internet, and allow you to download new games using your online connection.
Online Sources
You may have more luck finding the movie or game titles that you want by searching stores that sell strictly online. There are many book and media outlets that offer substantial discounts if you buy and ship through them. Auction sites are also a great place to find rare titles that are difficult to find elsewhere. Many of the most popular online sites offer customer reviews for each item, so you can feel confident that you’re buying a game or movie that is worth the time and money.
Consumer Forums
If you are really excited about 3D movie and game technology, you could look into an online forum that caters to 3D enthusiasts. These forums provide a place to chat with other 3D users, and exchange information about the 3D market in your location or online. You will learn the latest developments in 3D technology, and everyone will have an opinion about it. Forum members are usually very candid about their experiences with several different types of 3D content, and you will learn quite a lot about the latest upgrades and updates. Forums can take a while to browse through, but they are excellent resources for buying 3D movies and games.
