International 3D Society Awarded Panasonic

In 2012, Olympics was brought to our homes in 3D through the great work of our friends from Panasonic. And with that, the International 3D Society, at the Creative Awards night honored Panasonic. The award is also given for “the company’s fundamental technology leadership in 3D.”

 

Ron Martin, Vice President, 3D Innovation Center, Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, received the award on Panasonic’s behalf.  In this honor, 3D is noted for expanding last year from the consumer, to the professional, and for the use of 3D video cameras at the International Space Station.

 

The International 3D Society promotes the creation and spread of 3D content. Based in Hollywood, Calif., the society also has branches in Europe, Japan, China, Korea, and Canada.
