Metallica’s upcoming movie will become the first film to debut on super-sized IMAX screens, the group announced on Wednesday.
In the press release, it was announed that filmmaker Nimród Antal’s 3D movie, “Metallica Through The Never,” will be digitally re-mastered into the IMAX 3D format and released exclusively into IMAX theatres in North America for a one-week engagement beginning on Friday, Sept. 27. The film will expand into additional theaters the next week, starting on Oct. 4.
