Nvidia has just released a new WHQL graphics driver that seems to be mostly targeted at the upcoming release of Crysis 3 that should start appearing worldwide in the next few days starting from tomorrow in North America.
EA’s recommended GeForce GPU for Crysis 3 is a GeForce GTX 560 or higher and for the Hi-Performance PC Specification, EA recommends GeForce GTX 680, and that is for playing the game in 2D mode not in stereo 3D mode.
Crysis 3 will of course support stereoscopic 3D rendering natively as it is a part of the CryEngine 3 that the game is based on, so good news for the stereoscopic 3D gamers, though there is no clear information yet if the game will support Full Dual View rendering or not. Still the new graphics driver adds profile for Crysis 3 and it the game is rated as “Excellent” for 3D Vision. Aside from the Crysis 3 3D Vision profile, the new drivers include profiles for Dead Space 3 – rated Poor, and Resident Evil 6 – rated Good. The rest is performance improvements.
