In the newest episode of VFX Side Quest, Hashi proves that Neo and Alice aren’t the only ones who can reach through the looking glass. Using a shockingly small number of layers and some mesmerizing effects within VFX Supercomp, Hashi recreates the mirror portal effect from the upcoming Matrix Resurrections.
This effect was developed live during “VFX and Chill with Seth and Hashi,” Maxon’s weekly VFX show, and is recreated here in a stand-alone tutorial to be uploaded directly into your brain.

What is 360 VR Video?
360 video is a video that is recorded in all directions at the same time with multiple cameras. The videos are stitched together either internally in the camera or externally using special software.
It then forms one spherical video that is controlled by the viewer, enabling them to look up, down, right or left at their discretion.
