Optoma, a world leading designer and manufacturer of audio visual solutions, announce the WHD100, a 1080p 3D wireless projection system for streaming video content wirelessly from HDMI equipped sources to any HDMI equipped Optoma projector. The WHD100 is fully HDMI 1.4a compatible and is therefore capable of streaming 1080p formats including 60Hz up to 7 metres in any room.
Head of Product Management, Justin Halls commented, “Optoma is committed to making big screen 3D home entertainment accessible to as many people as possible. Adding a WHD100 wireless system to your BluRay™, 3D set-top box or games console means that, not only can traditional 2D content be wirelessly streamed to your Optoma projector but also the latest 3D films and games can be watched and played without the need for cables connecting the source and the projector.”
The system consists of a small 9cm x 9cm x 2.7cm receiver which is connected to the projector and an HDMI transmitter dongle plugged into the HDMI output of the source and powered either via USB or the provided DC adapter. The design has been made to be as straightforward as possible with easy set-up auto detection plug and play.
Optoma has used the latest Omni-directional high performance internal antennas operating in the 4.9-5.9Ghz frequencies to ensure reliable streaming across rooms up to 7 metres and providing system latency of less than 1 millisecond. This Ghz range technology is tried and tested and ensures high levels of reliability.
The WHD100 is available to buy now from selected retailers.
