Plural Eyes Makes Edius Multi-cam Even Easier

Singular Software has created an amazing program called Plural Eyes. This program “listens” to your audio tracks from different videos and magically matches the clips together. This can be a fantastic help with multi camera shoots as well as 3D productions with two cameras.

For that matter, I have used it where we had three 3D cameras and been able to synchronize all the clips by using Plural Eyes. The first time I reviewed Plural Eyes was the version for Final Cut Pro 7. So, when Singular approached me again to try out Plural Eyes for my all time favorite editing program, Edius, I jumped at the chance.

Once again, Plural Eyes did not disappoint me. I tested it out on several 2D projects and it passed again with flying colors. Edius already gives you the capability of ding 16 camera multiple camera editing as well as 16 bit. While I did not have a 16 camera shoot lying around I was able to easily sync together a 3 camera shoot that I have done some months ago. The results, frame accurate, synced.

The only thing that I am now waiting for is a version that will work with my beloved Edius 3D version. Bruce Sharpe, Singular Software CEO, “are you listening?”
