LG has lined up some of the most feature-packed LED TVs available for this year. There are a total of seven series with most models featuring both passive 3D and smart TV functions. Content sharing for these offerings is easier than ever with new NFC, Miracast and Cloud technologies. These functions supplement Intel’s Wireless Display (WiDi) and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), which were inherited from their predecessors.
Design-wise, a sleek “single line rolling stand”–called Magic Swivel–creates the illusion of a floating image. Moreover, integrated rollers deliver a swiveling function that makes the pedestal stand just as functional. The picturesque effect is accentuated by what LG refers to as a “vanished bezel”, which gets as thin as 1mm for the LA8600 series. However, there is still a small 7mm gap between the frame and the actual screen.
