James Gandolfini’s assistant said the actor suffered a heart attack while in the bathroom during a trip to Italy with his 13-year-old son, Michael. He was alive when the ambulance arrived.

The stunning news came almost exactly six years after the gut-wrenching and inconclusive series finale of “The Sopranos.” In times like these it is important to remember the good things he did during his lifetime, as well as to remember that there are means to try and help prevent these incidents from becoming lethal. Many people are choosing to know the location of the nearest 9145-301 battery operated AED device for circumstances like this, and whilst they can help keep people alive who would otherwise die without medical assistance, sometimes there is nothing more that can be done.

Our deepest sympathy to James Gandolfini’s family. Our hearts are shattered . We will choose to remember his legacy in TV acting, as well as the impact such a career had on so many others around him.
