Spiderman will reportedly be shot using not only 3D cameras, but 3D Red cameras. Red cameras offer amazing resolution and frame rates surpassed by none other than IMAX.
The crew are using 3ality rigs with the RED EPIC cameras and actually started shooting with them on set yesterday. John Schwartzman, the guy responsible for filming the whole thing, has been making posts on the RED forums, which is also where he promises his crew will be making further comments detailing the user experience. A post notes the shoot in 3D with 4 Epics mounted on 2 3ality TS-5 rigs, and discusses the lighting settings, iso 800 minus 1 stop for the mirror in daylight and iso 640 in tungsten light.
