28″ to 98″ displays, portrait or landscape mode… Planar has it all flaunted at InfoComm this year.
The 98″ UltraRes 4K display comes with HDMI 2 and Display Port 1.2 to support 4K at 60 Hz. The monster 4k display is followed by the 84″ model Planar introduced last year, and offers connectivity of up to eight video sources. It comes with the UltraRes MediaPlex software, that allows the user to view multiple content sources at the same time. The software also allows the separate sources to be down scaled or up scaled to fill either quadrants of the display or the whole display.
Included in the 4k line up are the 58″ and 65″ EP series displays in 4K resolution. Its quality boasts to aim commercial operations such as airports. Its rated 24/7 operation and touch screen option makes it qualified for that purpose!
For the content creators, there goes the IX series 28″, a smaller display.
Planar showed their earlier introduced 84″ touch screen with ERO (extended ruggedness and optics) technology. These displays are aimed at applications were viewing conditions are less than optimal and more rugged displays are necessary. They added a Gorilla Glass panel to the front that increases the impact and scratch resistance beyond other cover glass solutions including tempered glass panels.
