Beginning today, owners of an Oculus Rift or Rift S VR headset can sign-up for two free months of HTC’s Viveport Infinity subscription service, allowing them access to a massive catalog of over 650 different VR games, apps, and videos.
Offerings include everything from major titles like I Expect You To Die and Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, to exclusive releases, such as the recently-released Game of Thrones-inspired experience, Beyond the Wall.
In an effort to celebrate the launch of the upgraded Rift S and help welcome the new wave of users it brings with it, HTC is now offering owners of the Rift S and the original Rift a redeemable code that grants full access to the generous selection of titles for two full months, no payment required. So how exactly do you go about claiming this offer?
If you’ve already signed up on Viveport, click on your profile image to find a page entitled REDEEM; it is here you can redeem your individual code. Like most free trials, you’ll need to provide your payment information so HTC can begin charging your account once the offer has expired.
If you can remember to cancel your subscription before the deadline, however, you’ll walk away with two months of service without spending a dime.
Rift and Rift S owners can redeem their codes beginning today, all throughout the month of June. According to HTC, those who purchased a Valve Index will be presented with the same free trial when the headset begins shipping June 28th.
HTC introduced Viveport Infinity at the beginning of the year as an upgrade to Viveport, allowing subscribers access to the incredible catalog of games, apps, and videos minus Viveport’s five titles per month download limit.
Some of the experiences offered include major releases such as Windlands 2, Pixel Ripped 1989, Furious Seas, Torn, Seeking Dawn, and Gun Club VR, just to name a few.
Whether you picked up a Rift or Rift S as your very first headset, or just needed an upgrade to your current solution, there’s really no reason you shouldn’t take advantage of this killer deal.
Just make sure to unsubscribe when you’re done. Or don’t! Viveport Infinity starts at $12.99 per month; not a bad deal for unlimited access to a massive library of excellent titles.
