Two New Cinema 3D Monitors from LG

LG Electronics will be releasing the D41P and D42P, two new Cinema 3D Monitors that LG claims will offer a brighter display, clear images and a “flicker-free” 3D picture. These monitors will have LG’s new Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) 3D technology that will provide all these qualities to make a more comfortable 3D viewing experience. “Although 3D is one of the hottest items in technology today, some consumers are holding back from purchasing 3D products because of concerns over performance and price,” said Kevin Cha, Managing Director of LG Electronics, Levant . “With Cinema 3D Monitors, we’ve addressed all these concerns. The advanced picture quality, more comfortable glasses and competitive pricing makes it very hard to keep putting off 3D.”

The biggest accomplishment of these monitors was the “flicker-free” certification given to these 3D TVs that confirmed that LG’s Cinema 3D Monitors have mostly eradicated onscreen flicker. This is huge news because onscreen flickering has been known to cause dizziness and nausea among home 3DTV viewers. This means that with these LG Monitors people will be able to watch 3D content on their home TVs for longer without having to be afraid of headaches or other forms of discomfort. And, like any TV, the LG Cinema 3D Monitors are boasting about their clearer, brighter image. 3D is often condemned for being creating a darker image which can be a drag and, of course, cause headaches. But not the Cinema 3D Monitor, says LG! They really want you to know that the image is bright and the 3D will not give you eye-strain.

In contrast with conventional 3D glasses, LG Cinema 3D glasses are lightweight and entirely free of electrical parts, so and the glasses are lighter – thus more comfortable – and they never need to be recharged. Which is a huge hassle lifted.

Something that struck me as a huge selling point was the attention LG paid to making the Cinema 3D Monitors compatible with just about everything. You don’t have to worry about whether or not the monitor will connect with the tech you already have. Most likely, it will. The monitors work with all graphic cards and are compatible with popular home PC operating systems. They support HDMI 1.4 for easy hook-up with other 3D devices, making it possible to play 3D content without a PC. Also, a 2D to 3D conversion function converts regular content into top-quality 3D on the fly, so viewers will never be short of 3D content to enjoy. But now with brilliant visuals, you”ll need to start looking at sites like TechCrackBlog to find an audio system to mmatch the quality of the screen!
