The FIRST ultra-slim and highly portable universal MIDI controller keyboard for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Mac/PC — iRig Keys! Musicians, you’ll really love this. It looks sleek, modern and cool!
It’s a portable 37-key keyboard that supports core MIDI and it takes its power from the iPad. It comes with a free app to get you started right away. It retails for $99 and is available now. When you purchase iRig KEYS, not only do you get a MIDI controller for Mac/PC, but you also get built-in iOS compatibility for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
iRig Keys offers many usable tones my wife just love so much! Talking about the Asian string instruments! She’s a Thai by the way. 🙂
It really sounds phenomenal in spite of the miniature keys. The iRig Keys definitely hits the right balance of scale and function. It’s light enough to carry just about anywhere, yet they chose not to skimp on putting actual pitch and mod wheels on the device where many other mobile controllers opt for buttons.
For just about $100, it’s a solid choice for musicians for whom portability is an absolute must. And if you are an ON-THE-GO type and finds inspiration to compose on your i-devices somewhere out nowhere, plug in iRig KEYS and fire up!iRig KEYS is the ultimate portable keyboard player’s and producer’s companion. Use it any time and anywhere inspiration strikes you…
Actually worth playing!

The USB cord is not standard. It is also proprietary at the keyboard end, wider and thinner (top to bottom) than a standard mini-USB. That should be clarified: you can NOT just “grab any mini USB cable. That said, when I misplaced mine, the company was very kind in sending me a replacement. I really do like the keyboard, too. 37 keys is a standout in a 25-key world, and the pitch/mod wheels are most welcome.
