It seemed only natural for me to go to the Digi-Travel Thailand International Conference & Expo 2017 to talk to travel experts about where they saw 360 VR in the travel industry.
The 2nd “Digi.Travel Thailand International Conference & Expo 2017” will give answers to five major questions in the digital tourism economy. “Digi.travel Thailand International Conference & Expo” is part of the “Digi.travel World Events”, is the top annual meeting-point for experts from the eTourism, mTourism, travel technology, digital travel marketing and distribution channels with decision makers, entrepreneurs, professionals from the travel & hospitality industry of Thailand, the ASEAN Countries as well as the rest of the world, where they can exchange knowledge and experiences, to learn and do business.
The organizer of the event, Theodore Koumelis, of Travel Daily News welcomed the idea of a 360 interview with two of the show’s experts, Sarah Mathews, Head of Destination Marketing APAC @TRIPADVISOR and Chairperson @PATA International and Dr. Mario Hardy, Chief Executive Officer @PATA INTERNATIONAL.
What role do you think 360 VR will play in travel? When we think of travel planning we think of looking up articles such as typing “top 15 things to do In Rockport” into our google search. Could 360 VR help with travel planning at all by creative interactive brochures? Could museums 3D image their displays and create accessible tours for the disabled? The possibilities could be endless.
Watch the 360 VR video to see a little bit of the event and listen to what our two experts think about 360 VR and the travel industry.
