XPAND Adds 40 New Passive 3D Systems in The Netherlands
Amsterdam Booking Company in the Netherlands have unanimously decided to select
XPAND Passive 3D Systems in their cinema theatres
Paul Visser, owner and founder of ABC said: “The new XPAND passive 3D system and glasses give us an outstanding picture quality, in combination with the comfort that costumers demand today, and that is what it’s all about. Quality and comfort. With the latest XPAND systems we can let our customers enjoy the films the way their directors intended.
That’s what we did together with Xpand in 2009 for Walt Disney Studios’ Bolt 3D and later even more successful with 20th Century Fox’ Avatar 3D. We were the first cinema chain to do so in the Netherlands, and we are still proud of that fact!”
Continuing to raise the quality standard for cinematic 3D systems in the Netherlands, cinema systems integrator and service company Dcinex NL (formerly FTT Filmtronics NL) is currently finalizing the installation of the 40 new passive 3D systems for ABC. The new installations are part of ABC’s continued commitment to providing state-of-the-art 3D Theaters to its patrons.
“XPAND has been very supportive in bringing their new passive 3D solution to the Dutch exhibitors within the ABC group,” said Matthew Jones, General Manager of Dcinex Benelux. “XPAND has always actively pursued high quality 3D and their new passive 3D system is no exception. Add in the excellent service we have enjoyed in our long standing business relationship with XPAND, and you have the two key ingredients that matter to both Dcinex and our customers; high quality and great service,” added Mr. Jones.
“The XPAND team is delighted to keep working with ABC Group Cinema members who have decided to select XPAND new passive technology based on the successful cooperation in the past with XPAND”, stated XPAND CEO Maria Costeira. “ABC programmed theatres show a true determination to bring the very best in entertainment to their moviegoers, and their most recent investment in new 3D passive technology will deliver an unprecedented immersive viewing experience to their audiences.”
So far a total of 14 brand new XPAND 3D passive systems were installed in Dutch theatres, while a total of 59 XPAND systems are now operational in The Netherlands.
