Prodrone Tackles Phantom With New Drone

Drones have certainly become the tech of the day. New drone companies seem to be popping up every few days. Prodrone Technology has set its sights high. By producing a light weight and compact drawn weighing in at only 4.2 pounds. In 60 seconds you can unfold it pop on the camera and the 3-axis gimbal and off you go. And with a 29 minutes estimated airtime you can do a lot of videos or stills.

The Standard Byrd will retail for $949. For that you get an integrated 1080 Ph.D. camera they can be swapped out for an optional gimbal that handles go pro cameras. The integrating camera has a 16 MB a pixel sensor and support stage the recording up to 60 frames per second. There’s also an option a record 720 at 120 frames per second plus you can take 60 native pixels still images all stored on a micro as the card. The wireless video can be sent up to 500 m away. The app, included, supports returned home, points of interest and route planing.

The next choice is the Advanced Byrd at $1059. You don’t get the integrated camera but if you do get the gamble that will handle a go pro hero. Yet a little bit longer fight flight time of up to 29 minutes as well as a longer distance for your wireless transmission up to 2000 m. Follow Me mode is also supported.

If you wanna go all the way then get the Premium Byrd which goes for $1399. You get everything that the advanced has but also includes off 4K camera with an F/2.8 lens.

The only hitch is that it’s still in preorder, no word yet on exactly when it will ship.
