Samsung has declared the approaching availability of S5PC110 and S5PV210 – two new 1GHz ARM CORTEX-A8 based application processors.
Samsung S5PC110 chip is made for “multimedia intensive smartphones” and other similar devices, while the Samsung S5PV210 is made for larger devices like netbooks.
S5PC110 and S5PV210 feature powerful built-in 3D graphics engines and built-in HDMI1.3 interfaces. They’re also capable of ensuring longer battery life for devices that use standard batteries.
Consumer samples of Samsung’s S5PC110 and S5PV210 1GHz chips should be available starting December 2009.
